If you're a comic book fan of any era or genre, this show is a must! It takes you back to the beginning, giving not only insight to how popular characters came to life according to the time period, but also what some of the writers were going thru in terms of society and the time period. And how heroes like Capt America and Superman really helped save us from possibly ourselves--a perspective that i had realized but never put into words or thought was actually happening. AND Stan Lee's "real" name and why he changed it!! nuff said

I really enjoyed this series of documentaries, my only gripe is that I feel it dodged some of the hot topics in contemporary comics such as the new 52 or the resurrection of Image and creator owned comics. Maybe they avoided he latter because he focus is on superheroes.
