Chris Cree Brown: Electronic Composer 1980

“Sonic artist” Chris Cree Brown discusses composing with new media and how he orchestrates particular sounds into formal compositional structures. Some sounds are made instrumentally, while others are recorded from his environment. In 1980 few classically-trained musicians in New Zealand experimented with synthesized sound and the gloriously large and sturdy equipment Brown uses to create his music will be of sure anthropological interest to many musos. The documentary was recorded with no script to capture the true art of creation.

Randy Rogers Band: Live at Billy Bob's Texas

Released hot on the heels of Randy Rogers' second album, Live at Billy Bob's Texas is a curiously subdued live set. Rogers is that rarity, a country singer/songwriter who records with his road band instead of the usual session musicians, which gives his albums a relaxed, rough-edged feel missing from the standard antiseptic Music Row product. The set climaxes with an extended workout on "Lost and Found," from Rogers' debut, showcasing a series of solos brief enough to keep from devolving into tiresome showboating.

The Chase

The Chase follows the lives of a group of teenagers growing up in inner-city Nottingham. Shot on location and based on the real life experiences of young people living in Nottingham's inner-city community, The Chase explores the relationships, pressures, pain, violence, love, passion and creativity that combine to form the realities of their everyday lives. Predominantly starring and scripted by Nottingham's inner-city youth, The Chase features some of the cities rawest talent and a home grown Notts soundtrack. Whilst capturing the bleak reality of their day to day lives, The Chase is also a celebration of the humor, resilience, courage and creativity of the young people of inner-city Nottingham.

This glorious house is where La Traviata was premiered in 1853. Brand New Day 1988

The 1986 Eurythmics tour of Japan. It is the end of the world tour during which Annie Lennox (vocals) and Dave Stewart (guitar) promote their latest album "Revenge".
